Gary Hartman first developed The "Stablized Rooting Media" 1981. He kept this technology proprietary for several years to be used exclusively within his own nurseries and farms. Later, once the potential of the Q Plug was discovered it was decided to be released to the trade. The Q Plug is very strong and sponge like and can be shipped throughout the world.

The Q-Plug 30/50 is used for Geraniums, Poinsettias and general ornamentals. This plug is large enough to be used as a prefinished liner and at the same time promote more root tips than any other plug and tray used in the industry today.
